This item is a vintage L.E. Smith "Moon and Stars" amber glass bowl or compote. It features a classic, highly collectible pressed glass pattern with raised circular "moon" shapes and star motifs, and typically has a scalloped or crimped edge. 

Key Information

Manufacturer: L.E. Smith Glass Company, a prominent American glassmaker founded in 1907. The pattern was later produced by other companies as well, including L.G. Wright.

Pattern Name: Though originally known as "The Palace" pattern by Adams & Company in the late 1800s, it gained widespread popularity and the "Moon and Stars" nickname through production by L.G. Wright and L.E. Smith in the mid-20th century.

Era: L.E. Smith began producing this pattern in the 1960s, making this a mid-century modern (MCM) vintage piece.

Color: The rich amber or honey gold color was a popular choice for this pattern.
