The Makita 18 Volt LXT® Brushless Cordless String Trimmer features an automatic torque drive technology that provides a longer runtime, and a split shaft that helps in the storage and transportation of the trimmer. For increased power management, the trimmer offers three operating speeds; 4000 RPM, 5000 RPM, and 6000 RPM. The bump-and-feed trimmer head works well with 0.08" or 0.095" line and is easy to load. The reverse rotating mechanism prevents the tangling of grass and weeds and clears the head quickly. Integrated Extreme Protection technology prevents the accumulation of dust and water, and Star Protection technology helps in preventing overheating, over-discharging, and overloading of the battery. The ergonomic and compact construction of the trimmer means easy and convenient usage.
